How to apply for Australian Student Visa?

If you intend to study in Australia you should apply at least four months before your intended course start date

Basic Requirements of Australian Student Visa

An Offer of Acceptance - before a student can apply for a student visa, a valid offer letter from a CRICOS registered Australian institute is required

English Proficiency - an IELTS score is a mandatory requirement and an evidence of this must be included at the time of application for the student visa. TOEFL is not accepted.The following tables shows the IELTS test score required for different levels of study:

Diploma/Advance Diploma 5.5 Bands
Bachelor, Graduate Diploma, Masters degree, Doctorate 6.0Bands

Documents required for Australian Student Visa:

Following is the list of documents, provide as many as applicable:

  • Original Acceptance Letter by Australian Educational Institute
  • Photographs (2)
  • Original Passport (6 Months validity with at least two blank pages)
  • Original Academic Records
  • IELTS Test Result
  • Visa Fee (Rs.29200)
  • Affidavit of Support from sponsor (on Stamp Paper)
  • Sponsor’s Bank Account maintaining Letter
  • Sponsor’s Bank Statement, for the last 6 Months
  • Company Registration Letter from Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (If Company is registered with SECP)
  • Company registration Letter from Chamber of Commerce & Industry (If Applicable)
  • NTN Certificate
  • Tex returns for the last 3 years
  • Sponsor’s Affidavit Indicating Net Income & Expenses (on Company Letter head )
  • Sponsor's Salary slip/Income Tax deduction receipt
  • Sponsor's Visiting Card
  • Property Documents (Commercial, Residential, Agricultural)
  • Property Affidavit
  • Fixed Deposit Certificate (Photocopies)
  • Rental Documents (If Applicable)

How to pay fees and charges

Payment must be in the form of a bank draft for Pakistani Rupees, made payable to the 'Australian High Commission, Islamabad'. Payment cannot be made by cash, personal cheque or credit cards

Method of Payment

Payment must accompany your application. To make a payment, please pay by Bank Draft addressed to any bank in Islamabad, made payable to the ‘Australian High Commission, Islamabad’. Please do not pay by cash, personal cheque or credit cards. Applications are only accepted through mail or courier service.
